Before you commission

Check these first

A few things decide how smoothly a commission runs.

Checklist

  • Get the property owner's written consent for the wall.
  • Check whether the wall needs planning or local authority permission.
  • Send photos of the surface, including any damp, flaking paint or cracks.
  • Decide how long you want the artwork to last.
  • Tell us your deadline and any events or openings it needs to be ready for.

How it works

How we work with you

A commission runs in four stages, with your sign-off before painting starts.

  1. Stage 1

    Brief

Send the location, photos of the wall, your timing and any references. We reply with questions and a quote.

  2. Stage 2

    Design

We match an artist, develop the artwork and share visuals for your approval.

  3. Stage 3

    Paint

We prepare the surface and paint to the agreed schedule, with the access equipment the job needs.

  4. Stage 4

    Handover

We finish, photograph the piece and hand it over, and clear the site.

FAQ

Your questions answered

How much does a street art commission cost?

Cost depends on the size of the surface, the detail of the design, the number of artists, access equipment, materials and how long the work needs to last. Send us the location and a rough brief and we will give you a clear quote.

Do I need permission to paint a wall?

You need the property owner's written consent, and some walls also need planning or local authority permission. We can advise on what applies to your site before you commit.

How long does a mural take?

A small feature wall can be finished in a day or two. Large murals take longer. We agree a schedule with you before work starts.

How long will a mural last?

It depends on the surface, the paint system and how exposed the wall is. Tell us the location and how long you want it to last, and we will recommend the right approach.

Can you work to a brand guideline?

Yes. We can match colours, typography and tone of voice, and we can pair your brand with an artist whose style suits it.

Can you help us choose an artist?

Yes. Tell us the style you like and the feel you want. We match you with an artist, develop the design with them and share it for approval before painting.
